Der Verfasser skizziert aktuelle Diskussionsschwerpunkte innerhalb des Behindertensports im Zusammenhang mit integrationsbezogenen Fragestellungen, inhaltlich-konzeptionellen Ansätzen und zielgruppenbezogenen Überlegungen bei geistig Behinderten. Ferner werden forschungsmethodische sowie wissenschaftstheoretische Akzente herausgestellt. Vor diesem Hintergrund werden Forschungsaspekte des Behindertensports in den 90er Jahren abgeleitet und dokumentiert.

The author outlines the main points of current discussion about sports for handicapped, together with questions concerning integration, issues referring to the structures involved, and considerations concerning mentally retarded people. In addition, issues concerning research methods as well as scientific theory are laid out. Regarding these aspects, research aspects of sports for the handicapped in the nineties are introduced and documented.
